Mahesh ji thank you for the video of this song ek tha bachchpan. I had completely forgotten the picturisation of this song in the movie. After downloading and watching it, it brought back some nostalgic memories of watching the movie with my beloved father.

The movie itself was a tear jerker. I remember this and the other movie (which had Ashok Kumar) Anurag always made me cry endlessly till the end of the movie! (I have viewed on the tv some 3 to 4 times he he he)Phew!

The actress in this movie seemed very familiar and I notice from BCji's post that she was in the movie Guddi too! Sweet innocent looking heroines of yesteryears definitely oozed a special charm to the song sequences and make it worth watching over and over again.

Both songs from Jaggu and BKER bring forward the thoughts of a girl who is looking forward to the days of matrimony ahead of her. Unaware of the stranger, who will come into their lives to bring the joy and happiness they so look forward to and have been dreaming about.

The pining, the dreamy eyes, the desperation to know who it could be. An imaginary prince who takes her on his horse. The lyrics and tune go so well with each other.

I have seen BKER and always enjoyed the songs from this movie. This one by Lata ji always leaves you humming the tune.. something one may call a n instant intoxication. Panchamda music gives the freshness of a beautiful surroundings (a trait that was always present in his father's compositions.)

Leena is as cherubic and cute as always. Always found something charming and innocent about this lass

She made her debut in 'Poonam Ki Raat' made by veteran filmmaker Kishor Sahu. Out of the many films that she worked in, prominent are 'Taangewala' with Rajendra Kumar, 'Vasna' with Vishwajeet, 'Mujrim' with Joy Mukerjee, 'Shart' with Sanjay Khan and 'Resham Ki Dori' with Dharmendra.

Kumud proved her versatile acting in several Gujarati and Hindi plays. Though, now retired from the acting field, she is now actively assisting her husband in his interior decoration business.

She reminds me of another actress, cant seem to place her tho', mebbe I saw her in another role in another movie !

the story is ...Shashi kapoor and Sadhana are college mates and he likes her but she takes him lightly and with the help of her friends,tricks him into writing a love letter(Prem patra) to her. It is put up on the notice board and he gets into trouble and later looses his eyesight and needs nursing. she in the mean time is repentant, also wants to make amends so helps him recover and both fall in love......ends happily.It has some beautiful songs, yeh mere andhere ujale na hote, sawan ki raaton mein,ab yaad na aur..........sadhana looks lovely

Nimii she has acted in a few B AND C grade movies, also as a supporting actress in a few movies. The lovely song from 'Shagun', 'Tum apna ranjh o gham apni pareshani mujhe dede' was picturised on her, that was probably her first film.
Now if some one can u/l that video it would be nice...
