Friends:
I am uploading the most recent release of a Mukesh recording that I've come across: "Tujhko yoon dekha hai" from "Chaand Grahan".
Being the first time I've copied from an audio-tape, I would appreciate feedback on sound quality and volume.

Dear Unni
Thanks for uploading the two songs.
I opened the song files in an audio--editing program and found that the
recording level has been set at too high a level. Therefore a good deal of
"clipping" has occurred which introduces a rumbling type of sound in the otherwise
good audio quality song. The important thing is to make sure that the
recording level doesn't go into the "red zone" (or if it does, it should only do so
rarely). I am saying this since you were asking for opinions. Also, since you
are spending the time digitising the audio anyway, it would be great if you could
adjust the recording level appropriately. In any case, I am grateful to you for uploading the songs. Thanks.

GS:
Please don't be apologetic. I asked for the feedback and I am grateful that you took the trouble to help me out. Next time I shall reduce the volume on the mixer, and hopefully we shall achieve he right level.
Thanks again!

Thanks UnniJi for this song... The audio quality is good except for a couple of clippings and a slight hissing in the background. But I have heard this on earphones so I may be wrong...
Anyways thanks for your effort. Your post says it is the most recent release. Can you give the details of the cassette/cd? I mean which company released it etc...
I would love to add this cassette/CD to my collection and will appreciate info about the same...
Cheers,

Vivek:
The audio tape cover lists: Robin Khosla's CHAND GRAHAN featuring Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Late Mukesh --- Music by late Jaidev --- Title track by Santosh Nair.
It was published in 1997 by BMG CRESCENDO (INDIA) PVT. LTD.
Excerpts from the inside front cover:
"Twenty-four years ago, Ramesh Khosla had a dream of making a film with a special message.
For the music, he recorded two songs by Mukesh, now no longer amongst us and two songs featuring the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar. The music was scored by music maestro, the late Jaidev. Lyrics to the four songs were penned by none other than poet par excellence, Kaifi Azmi......"
It goes on to say that his son, Robin Khosla, has completed the film, retaining the original songs and adding one by Asha Bhosle with lyrics by Raajesh Johri and music by Santosh Nair.
I hope you are able to find this album.
