This was in 2001, when manna was doing a US tour. He hapened to be in boston. There i met him backstage.
One thing, he has maintained his voice and physique very well. The other thing i noticed, he has a bit of arrogance which was reflected on stage, not during the conversation. He had sung some of his non film songs, but not the one i was expecting the most. So, when i went backstage, I asked that you sang few of your non film compositions, but not the one i was hoping for, that one has been penned by yogeshji. As soon as i mentioned this, lo and behold he said " kucch aise bhi pal hote hain". HE said,"that happens to be one of my favourites". Ofcourse, that happens to be my personal favourite too!! It was a metting that lasted 5-8 minutes, but one i will cherish whole life.
