The VN book says Asha has sung just 4 songs for Khurshid Anwar. 1 solo from Neelampari, 2 solos with Geeta fom the same film and a duet with Suraiyya from Singaar. I was browsing the Surjit Singh site and found 4 songs listed for Asha in the film Neelampari. The missing one was a solo mehfil teri saji rahe.

Does the Geetkosh give singer for MD stats? If so can someone please check this combo? Just incase there are some more we have missed?

Priya! I have 'Mehfil teri saji rahe..' This is the theme song of the film, a lovely and anchanting melody. I am not sure about the singer. My suggestion is you check with Irfan Sahab, If he can not assist you, there is no hope.

I got mehfil teri saji rahe. It sounds like Asha at places.
With old audio sometimes it makes it so tough.

Hi Inaam Bhai and Priya,

Yes after hearing those songs on the Surjit Singh's site, as pointed out by Mahesh (SKS) audio quality was OK but the whole beauty of the song is lost when last 30 seconds to 45 seconds are edited out and song ends abruptly. I tried locally here to find out and get it and by chance I found these versions are quite OK and made sure they are full songs.

Please check this version and if its OK, I willl upload all in 128 Kbps.

Well the DVD of Singaar does not contain any Suraiya & Asha duet.
If the song is Dharak Dharak then Asha must be in the chorus.
I did upload all Suraiya's songs from the movie in Suraiya's forum.

The song aaj main jogan banke is supposed to start with a small verse that I have never found on the versions at Surjit Singhji's site or what I got on my cassette and from Ur labelling apparently not on Ur file too (bandwidth over--can dl only tmrw!).
Wonder if Irfabsaab will have it. But Surjit Singhji's recordings are usually provided by him I think.
Supposed to start pyaar ke toote taaron par or something.
