Small information on songs of Geetaji :
According to Mr. Hamraaz of Geet Kosh, Geeta ji sang approximately 1200 songs in Hindi films.
The decadewise breakup is
340(approx.) in the 40's,
755(approx.) in the 50's,
85(approx.) in the 60's
and
a few songs in the 70's.
Ex: 1950 is counted in 40's and like wise.

How about a theme for the radio program - say 1 song from each year of her 25 year singing career from 1946 to 1971 (Do Bhai to Anubhav).
For those who cannot receive radio due to technical reasons, this could be accompanied by a thread with the songs played in the radio program.

CM2 ji, I have got this song now. Thanks so much.. I think even in this year, this is the only song of hers. Probably after Guru Dutt's death in 1964, assignments coming to her almost stopped.
As far as 1968 and 1969 are concerned, it is more or less confirmed that there are no songs of hers in these 2 years.

Vasudev ji, special words of thanks for the sweet duet of Geeta ji "Wada karke kisi se na aana" with Surendra. I knew this song as "Dil ki duniya mein haa.. chupake chupake dekho dekho sajan tum na aana"
Geeta ji is sounding so sweet in this song..! I heard it on radio cylone a few times and did record on an audio cassette (the only way of "Storing" songs in those good ol days !)
The casette went kaput over period of time and I never got to hear it again !
Now I am having a De Ja Vu of this duet , thanks to HF !

its from the album "Shradhhanjali- my tribute to the legends" where she has sung Geeta's two songs - koi door se aawaj de and Waqt ne kiya.. Oh, OK. I had a CD of this album but got lost in transit. Now I remember these 2 songs sung by Lata ji.

Yes it was changed about 2 months back on my request. Well, it does look kinda pale and has a yellowish tinge compared to the other pics.
I think the admin team is going to do some thing about it.
