here are all the songs from s d burman's classic film mashal[1950].the film was a bombay talkies production and the director was nitin bose.the film starred ashok kumar ,sumitra devi,kanu ray,ruma [kishore kumar's first wife].manna dey was the assistant music director.lataji for the first time sang for burmanda in this film.
pradeepji was the lyricist.

Thank you very much Maheshji for a great upload. Here are some interesting sidelights from thie music of this movie:

During making of this movie, S.D. Burman left Bombay without completing his assignment because he was so disgusted with people and practices of Bombay filmdom. Manna Dey took over and finished composing rest of the songs for the movie. Ashok Kumar went to Calcutta to pursuade Burmanji to change his mind and convinced him that things are not as bad as he thought they were. Burmanda returned to Bombay and went on to provide some lasting music ever created for Hindi films. By the way, Manna Dey was still an obscure singer at the time when "Mashaal" was made. The song S.D. composed for him "Upar Gagan Vishaal" catapulted him to glory and fame he richly deserved and enjoys even till today.
