I think Bawara Jee went too far.I really do think. It should be job of Admn (not designate one) to move- re-move without consulting member/s. SKS is a large umbrella which will accomodate every uploads. Its not a matter of one's being policing.....its a neighbourhood watch...where you dont come in direct conflict with the defaulters. There are ways to deal with them. I would have reacted the same way as NIRAS JEE has done. I have decided to be member after browsing this forum for six months.. and thats why I feel & think Bawara jee & Mr.Extenook +...went too far.This is a democratic forum and runs on request.Not by order by any length of imagination.

I also think that on NIRAS JEE's part looks like a human error.He has never uploaded songs which does not belong to the paricular place.

The decision of allowing your uploading of songs is not mine.
Its not our right as users to upload, rather a privilige. And one which shouldn't be taken so lightly. If the song is available at another source already, why waste bandwidth & space of this site by uploading a copy of the song? Unless of course you're solely doing uploads just so that people will fulfill your requests. Or do you feel left out?

The people who are interested in Talat songs will obviously keep checking the official site. If not, they can always request directly over there if needed urgently or over here. The decision on the poster/uploader's part should be an informed one that s/he makes after careful consideration.

Hope you understand my reasoning. And don't find any negativity or some underlying tone in the message to be offensive.

Priyaji, what Imran mentioned is correct. The admin team has brought this message in many threads. Lets not utilize the webspace on uploading songs that are available elsewhere. Simily provide the links to the song along with your article. Lets use HF space in a constructive way, by helping fellow music listeners with songs that are not available elsewhere.

There are hardly fifteen members other than Admn.team who are regular and they have to do it religiously to maintain their whatever e-image. I think eventually you guys will need to scan & screen the messages before they are instantly posted. For no reasons members are getting into conflict as they are not ready to obey no-Admn members instructions. Why some one else should be teritorial while the individial who has started the thread has never/ever objected any uploads. Why they should direct the uploading members to what to do and what not. Why Actual Admn member cannot put his or her input. I strongly think that you need to provide some direction such instructers too. We are not multinationals here to accept each and every files and store it for good on the server. Every person every server every entity has a limitation. Its not an issue of prestige; its only a consideration of limitation. You've referred to few senior members. I am sorry they parted ways. But if it is for this reason, then I am not sorry.



Mam, believe me, the admin team here is very friendly. Please Name few forums you consider where the user has so many unrestricted privilidges. I would love to learn from them. Regarding helping users understand how to upload and download, all are not blessed with good knowledge about computers and usage of websites. Regarding participating members, we are not forcing anybody to participate. Its upto them whether to thank members such as yourself, who take so much time from your busy schedule to upload your collection so that others can download.

HamaraForums has become very lively so many guests surfing and members participating. Ofcourse, I dont compete with sites such as NBC or NDTV. If you are comparing this site with them, then I think its an honour for HF.

The individual who started this thread is Mr.Shukla, who has been very supportive and kind to members. Being the webmaster, I need to ensure the server is at its best. I don't think Mr.Shukla would be interested in that job. Admin team have given their inputs every time. HF was created initially for music discussion and we are on the right track, accomodating more filmi discussions and education on various general topics. It is the matter and I am happy about it.

Attention NIRAS: The right name of the Film in which the above Talat song is mentioned is 'SHEESHA',music by Ghulam Mohd.I find in this thread a lot of Talat's non-film songs have been uploaded earlier to 18 July 2004.I wish to caution that many of his non film songs uploaded may not be in the original version.By that I mean, for instance, the song "Tasveer teri dil mera behala na sakegi was resung in 1967 and that would not be original if it indeed had been uploaded instead of the original 1944 version.Talat has sung about 17 non-film songs of his again between the years 1961-1967 for HMV

Thank you for telling me that a Talat non-film song could be original or resung or is a live recording.However I don't seem to know where this detail is given.I downloaded a non-film song of Talat which is on Page 22 and dated 2-8-2004 which is "Tumne ye kya sitam kiya". After downloading I was disappointed that it was a resung version.
As I am aware of all Talat's non-film songs right from 1941 t0 1957,I could spot the difference.It may not be easy for other younger members of the forum.Please don't think I am being argumentative. I am all for exactness.

I managed to read your reply of the 13th Sept. only today.I will be more than willing to send you a CD of Talat Mahmood's old non-film songs (all original).I have not learnt to upload songs and find that I have reached an age that such things (like learning new tools of the Internet,etc) are beyond me.If you wish I can mail them to your address but only if you are living within India.I have 23 such songs in a CD.
