Most irritating movie that I saw was 'Jaane bhi do yaaron'. In guise of comedy it spreads incurable pessimism on impressionable minds. I never understood why people didn't make movies on real journalists who had spectacular success in bringing down the most powerful persons to knees. Like Arun Shourie on Indira when she was at her peak! It just doesn't sell with 'intellectuals', for sure.
'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron', this was one of the most hilarious movies I have seen. I laughed my guts out. I have seen this movie quite a few times. It is a political satire, definitely not irritating, but a very enjoyable movie. Naseeruddin Shah at his best. This movie is exactly what the doctor ordered, if one wants to know about how even publishing houses have their own political agenda. Indira Gandhi was no babe in the woods definitely. So too is Mr. Arun Shourie. Fair journalitic reporting demands that you don't take sides and are bereft of any political affiliations. When Mr.Shourie came into the Rajya Sabha on a BJP ticket, & went on to become the union minister, one could assess how fair his take on journalism should have been. Similiarly Mr.Cho Ramaswamy & Mr. Pritish Nandi too.
