Friends you must be knowing that Mukeshji's wife name is Saral Mukesh but do you know that her original name was Bachi Ben Trivedi and she belongs to a Gujrati Family.You will be stunned to know that Mukeshji's marriage was a love marriage and not a public one.The only guests who were present were Actor Motilal and the priest.This is how it happened.
In 1943 when Mukeshji was in Mumbai,there was a man called Mannu Bhai Trivedi who was a close friend of this legendary singer.Bachi ben was his sister. Mukeshji used to frequently visit his house.One day Mannu Bhai intoduced his sister.At first glimpse Mukeshji fell in love.Both family was against this due to caste differences.Bachi Ben used to offer prayers each monday at nearby temple.One day Bachi ben pretending to offer prayers ran from the house to that temple where the bridegroom,Motilal Ji and priest were waiting for her.So finally they tied the nupitial knot on 22nd July1946 which was coincidentally Mukesji's Birthday.If you know any other information regarding this plz share with me.

Yes, I know about Mukeshs' marriage. But something equally interesting was tjhat he once saved Raj Kapoors marriage from sinking. Details of the same can be found in Bunny Reubens book on Raj Kapoor. I may reproduce the same verbatim once I locate the book.
