Dear Friends,

Another show very close to my heart is on its way. This time too hosted by our very own KD Bandarwala but presented by the greatest Noor Jehan fan of them all--my good friend Inaam Nadeem.

The program is to pay tribute to Madam on her 5th death anniversary. I hope all those who enjoyed the last taste U got of Madam's lovely music will attend this one too. Expecting full participation from all my friends on HF. And some shayari and interesting info on Madam from Inaam.

On Thursday, January 5th, I will begin DJing at 10.30 pm IST.for about an hour......as I have done before, on so many other days ....except that on this occasion I will play my favourite songs of the composer C RAMCHANDRA...in his memory - he died on 5th January 1982, at the age of 64.

C RAMCHANDRA, who also sang some of his own songs under the name of Chitalkar, composed many hit songs in the late forties, fifties and early sixties.....and his songs are characterised by his unique kind of melody and rhythm. More importantly, Lata Mangeshkar's voice had an exceptional quality when singing for this music director. Not surprisingly, a very large proportion of his great compositions are in the voice of Lata Mangeshkar !

So,
- IF you are a C Ramchandra fan ...tune in, to hear what may well be your favourites too
- IF you are a Lata Mangeshkar fan ...tune in,...for you will hear many of her fabulous songs
- IF you are neither...but are a lover of hindi music ...do tune in, ...you may well find some new stuff which you will come to like

No sour grapes there!!!! Those were awesome chocs. Homemade I believe (tho not by Sri )--plain milk choc, dark choc, choc with nuts and also choc with some nice gooey crunchy stuff (forget what it is called).
