This song is from a film called Bank Manager (1959). Music is by Madan Mohan and the film (I believe) starred Kamini Kaushal. Tried tp upload it for you (I have uploaded it before a long time ago) - but the system won't let me do it now. Probably because I have not been a regular visitor to HF for a while.

Anyway - it's a rare song from a film called Bank Manager (1959). The film I have not seen so I cannot comment on the visuals for the song - but the song is great and has been a favourite of mine for a while.

Just to set the record right: the song is picturised on Minoo Mumtaz who played the "vamp" in the film - she's out to entice the "Bank Manager" of the title and sings this song at a mushaira as part of the plan. I don't recall whether the heroine (Kamini Kaushal, whose time on screen is much lesser than that given to the vamp!) has any songs picturised on her, unless the Lata number "qadam bahake bahake" features her.

For a change, a Madan Mohan film where - despite Lata being around - Asha walks off with the best song in the film (indeed, one of the best songs the man ever composed!).
