Oh my God...Ye kya ladki hai. Mitti Aur Sona ke to 78 rpm milney bhi badey mushkil
hain... I think recently I have seen the vcd of this movie with some one...not
recollecting exectly with whom. Meanwhile listen to these beautiful lines till i get the vcd.

Advice : Do jaap of these lines at least 1001 times shaayead tapasya ka phal jaldi
mil jaaye.

Actually, I believe that the famous Asha solo from "MiTTi me sona" has 4-5 verses in
it and the version that is commonly available is just an abbreviated form of it. I have
long looked for a record/tape/vcd/video tape of this film but have never been
successful. So while that is not an Asha/Rafi duet, I would like to throw it into the
mix as well.

BTW how do people get away with such party songs? Ridiculous. Congratulate karne ja rahi hai but catch any sagai wedding taking place in real life after a song like that!!!

Remember, I have not seen the film myself or ever heard the longer
version. This is pure hearsay. But the source of the info is usually
very reliable.

As to the song itself, it is no different than hundred of other similar
songs all of which have the hero or heroine crying at their beloved's
wedding. And there is this whole host of people sitting there listening
to the song. And none of them seems to be bothered by the general
tone of the song. Well, then again, I have never been to a single
wedding/sagaai where somebody got up and sang like that. So I
guess that is what is called poetic license
