I am uploading 2 versions of the same song-

First version is listed in the CD as sung by Lata-ji and the other version of the same song is probably a film version downloaded from HF ( different track time) even though also originally was tagged as sung by Lata-ji, but I find this voice is not Lata-ji as compared to version 1(record version).

Kindly listen to both the versions and give your views.

I d/led the second version only - since i thought that i would be able to make out by listening to it alone

on listening to it ... though it sounds really really different .... i think it is the voice of Lata Mangeshkar. If you observe the small details of the song ... i feel that no one else could have sung the intricacies of the song so well. It is too perfect to be anyone else. I therefore feel that it is Lata Mangeshkar disguising her natural voice and 'acting' it out ( on behalf of some kid/youngster in the movie, maybe ? )

It is Not Lata.. that I can be sure of. Who was the other singer who sang Aplam Chaplam Chaplai re with Lata ?? Seems to be her.

The other singer with Lata in Aplam Chaplam (from Azad) was Usha Mangeshkar. Could be her.
More so since the MD is the the same in both the movies - C Ramchandra.

Mohd. Saab..just check the numbering of the movie.....I think this is certainly PREMLATA..see whether this name appears in the list of singers.

For information of the members PREMLATA was the same girl who sang beautifully alongwith lataji in the famous song of Badi Behan(music husanlal bhagatram)..

Yes this is indeed Premlata. For some reason, I got confused between Kehta Hai Yeh Dila and "Kahin Bhi Apna Banhi Thikana" of Dil-e-Naadan which is by Sudha Malhotra.
