hi friends,
Can u guys tell me that which one of these versions of a same song is a correct version.. its seems that one out of them is playing either bit fast or bit slow..i find this alot in most of saigal saab's songs...i mean two recorded versions of same song but one is playing slow and other is fast.

i be glad if any one can help me that which one is exactly same as the way the song was sung originally.

i am posting one song here and another one with the reply to this post(coz of attachment limit).

regards

I think that version 2 is closer to the correct speed.

If you have Cool Edit (freeware), you should be able to speed up the slower version
and compare. A musician with a good ear(which I am not) should be able to
tell the correct speed from the key. Saigal sang in perfect tune.

I think 2nd one is close!

Agree with both Jaykoshal and Azgar Khan. 2nd one seems the right one.

i just wana ask about one more song , and also can some one tell me that where to buy correct versions with the better sound quality ( either on web or if some one is from uk then plz tell me where in uk)...i be grateful for the help.

i am not very new to saigal saabs singing but i must admit that i dont have much knowledge as some of u guys have.

i came across saigal's singing when i was doing an assignment on Indian music during my studies, and when i listened i thought well how can some one have such a perfect voice ?

Without downloading, I can speculate that version 2 is better. If you notice that
the ratio of the file sizes is about the same for the two songs.

Either someone had the record player (78 rpm) running too slow in one of the versions, or, more likely, recorded at 33 rpm and used the wrong factor to cnvert.

I downloaded and heard both the versions. In this case, the second version (643.71 K) seems to be a bit fast and I am inclined to think that the first version is with correct speed. However in this case, before the actual song starts, there is a concluding sigh "Aisa Kyon, Aisa Kyon, Phir Aisa Kyon" of the Dushman song "Preet Mein Hai Jeevan Jonko". Due to this a bit of space and time is taken compared to the original song.
