hello friends,
today is rafisahab's 25th death anniversary.geetaji has sung maximum number of duets with rafi sahab[around 140].the chemistry between them remains unmatched.
as a tribute to the two departed souls i am ul few of their duets.
the first song is from pyasa which is only present on soundtrack.music is by sachindev burman and lyrics are by sahir ludhianvi.the song was picturised on guru dutt and mala sinha.

here is another rare duet from musafirkhana[1955].music is by o p nayyar and lyrics are by majrooh sultanpuri.the song was picturised on shyama and karan diwan.

yet another rare duet from daka[1959].music is by chitragupt and lyrics are by prem dhawan.the song was picturised on smriti biswas and maruti.

the next duet is from n dutta's debut film milap[1955].lyrics are by sahir and the song was picturised on geeta bali and johny walker.

Can anyone please upload this duet of Geetaji and Rafi saab from the movie Daka ?
Seems to be very rare !

Can you please tell what is special about this song from the soundtrack ? Like opening music or extra stanza ?

it is ''ho lakh musibat raste mein''.two years back it was a rare song.since tthen,it has been uled atleast 5 times on this forum.

Yes, you are right. I think "Rut phire par din hamare" is in the opposite category, i.e. recorded but not in the movie..Another favorite of mine..
