Thanks for this rare song Bobby. I had never heard it before. Do you have any idea about the credits of the song, i.e. the lyricist, composer and the year of release? If you have any other rare song of Mubarak Begum, please do upload it.

That just shows Mubarak Begum's voice had not lost its beauty even when past her prime. Its really sad, she didn't get more songs to sing. Though quantity wise her work might be less but the same does not hold true for quality

Hi
regarding Mubarak begumji I want to add something
"As far mubarak begum , she indeed is in a bad shape . she has no money her son
is
a taxi driver , a young daughter suffering from parkinson's disease type of
problem,
lives in a building which is in very bad area and the place is called
Congress
bhawan just behind lamington road .u would
be
glad to know she , at this old age , can still sing and is desirous of
performing."
(got from the net)
Mubarak begum appeared in ameen sayani program and sung also.Somebody uploaded it here I downloaded.I request If someone has access to red fm please download some of the good programs for people like us .

It is really sad to hear about Mubarak begum's condition.
Are there no association or some suchthing formed by film fraternity for artistes?
I guess they only run after the rich and the famous whether deserving or not............Even the politicians etc go on honouring and showering gifts on the already famous and rich actors and singers, so very unfair........

Hi usha ji
Thanks for your addition.I am sorry to say there is no such organisation.these people are not acknowledged. It is us people who have to raise concerns in the people of our generation regarding this.many of them are gone but we are fortunate enough to have some with us too..
you must have read rajkumari's(the first playback singer )incident with naushad ,a really tragic one.
here is link which tells the plight of these great personalities
