Warm regards,

Thanks a ton, Priya-"ji"! Even with the 'noise', the song is beautiful!

Okay Abhay!!!! tongue.gif
Now can we have a translation please--or at least a jist? Will U do the honours or do we knock at Mandrake's door again?
Any idea about the MD, film name and year?

Thanks Dhanajay. Yes the lovely tune itself should have told me it was Phadkeji.

Priya,
Since this is an easier song, thought I'll take care of the translation. (let's save Mandrake for the more cryptic stuff laugh.gif )

Ekaach hya janmi janu,
In this life alone, it seems...

phiruni navi janmen mi
...as if I shall be born anew.

swapnaa pramaane bhaasel saare
Everything would seem like a dream

jaatil saarya layaala vyathaa,
and all miseries would wither away.

bhavati sukhaache swargiya vaare,
Winds of happiness shall flow around me

naahi udaasi, naa aartataa
neither sadness, nor gloom.

na bandhane va, naahi gulaami
Neither bonds, nor slavery,

bheeti anaami visren mi
I will forget the nameless fear.

harven mi, harpen mi
I will be lost, I will be entranced

tarihi malaa laabhen mi
but I would still find (discover) myself.

Ekaach hya..............

aashaa udyaachyaa dolyaat maajhyaa
Hopes of tomorrow, in my eyes..

phulteel komejlya vaachuni,
.. shall bloom without getting withered.

maajhya maniche guj ghyaa jaanuni,
Unravel the secrets of my heart...

yaa vaahanaaryaa gaanyaatuni,
...through this flowing song.

Lahren mi, bahren mi,
I will brim, I will blossom

Shishiraatuni ugaven mi
and I'll emerge from the Autumn.

Ekaach hya..............

Thanks a lot Dhananjay. That's beautiful. So many songs that I have heard so often yet never understood till I came to this forum.
