this is my second post in Geeta dutt's forum.I cannot control myself in posting this.
today when I tuned to vividh bharti at 3:25 pm i got geeta ji presenting a song program

at first instance i was just enjyoing one song ,not even an idea that the great lady is herself doing that. After end of that song she announced that "

1.ab mein aap ko sunati hoon mera khud ka gaya ek geet ,Mere saath gaya hai Hemant kumar ji ne and Lyricist hain S.H. Bihari Film hai Shart "

i could not believe my ears when i heard the lines na yeh chand hoga , na tarren,and it cleared that she herself was talking.
then she announced uran kahtola song "lata's ab tum na aaye baharein aai.

2. after end of that song she said "ab mere samne hai film pyassa ka geet aur ab mujhe yaad aa rahein hain apne jeevan ki bahut sare sukh bhari dukh bhari ghadiyan lekin woh sab aap ko bata kar kya karoongi ,mere man ki is samay ki halat ka andazaa aap achhi tarah laga sakte hain
agar aap yeh jante hain is film ke nirmata,nirdeshaksvargiye shri guru dutt mere pati the , kherr ab geet suniye.

and then song "aaj sajan mohe ang lagalo " from pyassa is played.


i am so angry on my stars i tuned to program only on 3:25 when half of it was done :
(( and i could not record the lines " ab main aapka apna geet sunati hoon "
then this song was played without any announcement
baat chalat nayi chunari rang dali

i think this may be from jogan

3.. then she said these lines

" mere pati dev sahi arth mein kalakar the
woh jo kaam bhi karte the bahut mehnat aur lagan ke saath karte the aur filmon ke madham se wohi kuchh kehne ki koshish karte the jo woh mehsoos karte the

IS KARYAKARAM KA ANTIM GEET BHI MENE APNE PATI KI FILM SAHIB BIW AUR GHULAM MEIN SE CHUNA HAI .SANGITKAR THE SHAKEEL BADAYUNI AND MUSIC HEMANT KUMAR
AB KABHHI KABHI MUJHE YEH LAGTA HAI KE YE GEET FILM KE PATRA SE BHI JYADA MERE BHAVNAON KO BAYAN KARTA HAI "

THEN SONG NAA JAYON SAIYON THIS WAS PROGARM "JAYAMALA GOLD"RECORDED in 1969. and then program ended

what do you people think that did she record this one ,due to financial cruch or other reason.
1969 was the time she was in lot of trouble.

She very clearly mentions the pain and sadness of hers in voice and the talk.I have not heard but read only, u can't belive how happy I am

do anyone other has listened to it. i am eager for the prevoius half.
i can only record after SHART song .
I want to upload but I will upload it in parts Problem is my dial up. regrets for some bad quality, due to my music system problem ,geetaji's vioce is very fine. sorry again for quality. and recording.can anyone other also upload.I have only dial up working now

as I have said i can only record SOME PART HERE THE REST .Please see i could not record na yeh chand hoga song ,i will see whether i do for my tape to get that soonI. i heard the program for just 15-20 minutes (
she completely defines the pain of separation from guru dutt in this part

Great work Ashish,
Even Ameen Sayani regrets the fact that though he knew her very well, he couldn't record her for some reason. I am sure this is one of the rare recordings of Geeta Dutt. You shouldn't be so angry and sad, because I've heard some of these vishesh Jaimala programmes and they start at 3:15...so you missed not half...but just 10 minutes. (Hope this lessens your anger:) )

The complete Geeta Dutt interview (the same one) was uploaded by Ramaswamy long time back on SKS Yahoo group. I think I lost it , maybe Ramaswamy or someone else still has it.

it is really a treasure for me too.Though i post very less here but she is one of my best femal singer and i sipmly love her style of singing ,so calm I was in the same condition as you are when she said " ab main aapko apna hi geet sunati hoon ".actually how great singer geeta decided to do a radio program also the time was 1969.was it finanical crunch or radio's tribute to her

one can easily feel the sadness in her voice,one can easily see the selectivity of her songs each song tells her love for guru dutt,na yeh chand hoga,
aaj sajan mohe ang laga lo-- and na jayo saiyan. the lines about guru dutt very clearly mentiones her love for him.she said regarding sahib biwi or ghulam' main role to depict her real life too.yes meena kumari who longed for her husband's love who was busy outside. very clearly it resembles her.
