When Noor Jehan died Lata and Asha Bhosle called Pakistan the same day and paid tributes to her. They played them on News the same day. I never recorded them Do you have them by any chance?

Yes Priya Lata Ji ka tou bis itna hi hai -- there are some more tributes by Khayyam Sahab, Dilip Kumar, Nisar Bazmi, Wajahat Attre and Wazir Afzal in the show.

Lataji. This is actually from HMV's "legends" collection where various artists introduce music sung by Latabai.

The tribute in the Legends set is taken from the long interview that Jamal had uled here.

I just finished hearing the interview. Though I always admired Noorjehan's voice and unique singing style, I must say I never knew what she was like as a person before this. Unki baatein sunke unke liye nayi izzat aur admiration mehsoos hoti hai.

I heard some clips during the interview that I've never heard the full songs for. Would someone be kind enough to ul? Thanks much.

I used to think that... until I bought the Mughaleazam CD and the song there did not start with this phrase. May be the CD I bought was weird.

I found another version of Pyar kiya... that does begin with the "insaan kisi se" refrain. SO no need to ul that one.

Waise I have a question about the interview you uled. Yeh takreeban kab record hui thi? TV pe aayi th kya? Why is the interviewer speaking in English? Aur beech main ek point pe Madam refers to "Tina", her daughter (when she talks about her husbands). Was the interview given in a large group with NJ surrounded by her family?

The interview was taken around the early 90's when Tarranum was being filmed (she mentions the series in the interview).

It appeared on UK TV on Channel 4 which is why the interviewer speaks in English.

I'm not sure if all her family were present during the interview. It looks as though the interview is in her house and the camera only shows Noor Jehan or the interviewer. We only know her daughter Tina is present because of what Noor Jehan says in the interview (She's referring to her second husband Ejaz)
