Hello Friends,
Here's a superb Hindustani rendition by one of the lesser known Maestros from Karnataka. I personally met with Sri Hedge, a humble, jovial person yet on stage he takes you to another world with his music.
I had to split the files inorder to upload it here. I hope you folks can download them. Let me know if you have any problem. Enjoy!
Yours sincerely,
Sham

Sham-ji,
Thanks for that wonderful upload. Hegde-ji's voice is so soothing and comforting. Very beautiful recital of Bilaskhani Todi. I loved the way he introduced syllables from Kannada folk music and bols from carnatic music into his tarana. Do you have more music by him ? If so please do upload. I couldn't find his albums or any description of them online.

Dear Bibhas and Akash,
Glad you folks enjoyed the Classical melody of Shree Hegde. I will upload the 2nd of the only two pieces from the CD I have in a day or two since I am busy today. Watch this section for more rare uploads.
As with the information for Bibhas, this CD was titled ' Smriti' brought out by Lahari Audio ( Lahari recording Co. out of Bangalore ) in 2003. e-mail : laharico@vsnl.com. They will send you a whole catalogue. The CD was sent to me from India by my relative who is a die hard fan of Shree Hegde. The moment I listened to it, I fell in love with it. Took me a while to get in to Classical music but now that's something I cannot live without! LOL

Sham,
Thanks for the awesome Kalavathi by Hegde ji. I've fallen in love with his voice. Looking fwd to hear more of him, too bad this is the only CD you have. Does Lahari have more of his CDs ? Do you have his complete discography? Surprisingly, I could not find it on his website.
I am glad you have come to love classical music. Looking fwd to "more rare uploads" from you.....

Few years ago there were some tracks on his (Hegdeji's) web site.....If I remember correctly Shankara and Jog were available for download. I lost them during a HDD Crash. Now those tracks are not available and it says that "Audio Clips will available shortly"
Sham- Thanks a lot for the Kalawati. Looking forward for your other uploads.

Hi all,
I have a problem. I am not able to download any tracks. Is it beacuse I havent done 25 posts or something else ?
I am desperate to listen to Parameshwar hegde's music. I am learning vocal music from one of his desciples. So i should be able to relate many things with his style.
Please help me out.

Madhu,
welcome back, we missed you at Raag Rang. A lot of things have changed since your last visit. To be able to download files at HF, you need to become a "trusted member" by contributing with good discussion and/or uploads. There is no minimum post limit as such. More info here:
http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...ndpost&p=111520Glad to know you're learning from Hegdeji's disciple.

Hi Bibhas,
I need one more clarification. Is it that i will be elevated to trusted member group automatically( based on my contributions ) or I need send some thing to admin.
I did not get what Pradeep meant by PM.
Sorry for bothering you
Thanks

Madhu,
It would be practically impossible for Pradeep to monitor every new member's activity and elevate them to trusted group. You need to send a PM (private message) to Pradeep requesting him to do so. If you go to the top of the HF screen, just above the Google search box, you will find a link to "My Controls". Click on that link and then click on "compose new message" from the top left of the screen. That's it, you're all ready to send a PM.
