Actually a song with same lyrics and a faster tune was picturised on Amir Khan and Mamta Kulkarni. I don't remember the film though. MD was Anu mallik I guess.

Isnt this a slow pacing number.. that is how I remember the number..

Rafta rafta woh meri hasti .......this gazal was sung by Mehndi Hasan saab in pakistani movie "Zeenat" released in the year 1975. Can someone tell me whether he had sung this gazal before that. The song Rafta rafta woh hamare dil ke armaan......was writeen by Qamar Jalalabadi for the movie Hum Kahan ja rahey hain......the song was sung by Ashaji and M Kapoor....this movie was released in the year 1966. At this point of time I am confused who inspired whom?

rafta rafta is a famous ghazhal by Tasleem fazli;Qamar Jalalbadi has stolen or adapted it;the Mahendra Kapoor version is a big favourite of my uncle's and he has last heard it thirty odd years ago;he has forgotten the stanza tune.i wish I could listen to it,get him to listen to it.
