Song is 2:50 min long, and @ 145 Kbps VBR

This is the only RabindraSangeet of Lata that I know of {i just came to know there are few more Lata-sung-Tagore songs}. Needless to say, both music and lyrics is by Tagore himself. More correctly speaking, the song is adapted from RabindraSangeet by making the pace a little faster - probably to suit the film (Bengali film, Bau Thakiranir Haat). Lata's diction in the song is just brilliant!

Thanks a lot for that piece of info - didn't know it was based on another song. More surprising is that this could/is Lata's voice in the 80s - maybe early 80s.

Now, (being Bengali, and a fan of classical indian music, I have to ask), is the original nuber by Sachin-Karta uploaded somewhere in this group ? If not - would really really appreciate if U could upload it (in any appropriate sub-forum).

I really wonder what other tracks this un-released film Devdas might have.

Just another note: the original composer of this number is the legendary Bengali composer Kazi Nazrul Islam. Makes this number more nostalgic than it already is.
