Shridhar Phadke has definitely come a long way out of Babuji's shadow, both as a singer and music director. Here are two more numbers composed and sung by him. They have a nice & soothing "ghazal-like" touch to them.....

Me querying again. Are all these sung by Sridhar Phadke or can I hope for an Asha song in there? Asha has sung a number titled tula pahile na? Is this that one? Please help.

All the songs posted above have been sung solely by Shridhar Phadke. Can't recollect any song by Asha called "tula paahile na". But it's not the song posted here.

I am sorry Priya, do not mean to doubt your knowledge on Asha's songs. But could you be mistaking this 'tula pahile na' with that lovely,lovely Asha number 'tula paahte re' from Jagaachya Paatthivar'?
Music for that was by Shridhar Phadke's father, Sudhir Phadke.

Yes Mandrake, that's the one. Kya karein when one does not know the language pahile and pahte mein confusion hota hai. What do they mean?
Yes that is a beautiful number.

'Tula pahile na' = did not see you.
I do not know of any song that has these catch-words.

'Tula paahte re' = I see you.
An interesting situation, because the girl is blind. But she sings "I see you even though I am blind because your image is in my heart"

The raag makes no impact on me.

However, she looks a bit naraaz - I posted the translation of 'tuj maagto mee aata' on the 'abhang/bhaktigeet' thread. She didn't say the customary 'thank you'

The Devanagiri looks like little squares to me. Is it my settings or does it appear so to everyone? Maybe U need to post it as jpg for the script to show.

Actually itrans is very intuitive. latajii had already written it very itrans like.
I use this webpage to convert my itrans into devnagari. (Give it a try and use the gif option to get the picture, pun intended )

Actually I have used UTF-8 (unicode), so you should be able to see devnagari on internet explorer (if you have unicode support , if not check this webpage)

I find itrans very confusing. Reading in Roman is far easier.
So the problem is with settings. Everytime someone posts something in Devnagiri I see it as little squares and always wonder why no one else points that out.

This has steps for enabling unicode support or whatever it is called for windows XP and 2000. I have 98. No wonder--aap sab advanced hai. Hum prehistoric zamane mein rah rahe hain.
