Thanks Divyanjali, Bibhasji, and all others. I honestly am not a singer. Whistling I learned as a kid because I grew up in a neighborhoor where all kids knew how to whistle and I was the only one who couldnt... but I kept trying and you can see what has become of that. I'm still not a very good whistlers yet. Oh and the humming you might hear in the background would be of my sister. She didnt know I was recording when I was humming all these songs while reading HF posts. I guess I have unconsciously managed to make a music fan out of her.

Divyanjali, your man kyon behka is beautiful. U have very good voice... have you learned singing at all?

If MDs start releasing originals we singers will be out of work. Gotta call Lataji, Ashaji, organise a protest!!!! 

Oh yes....Preety.....how can I ever forget that one!!!!!! In my final year of graduation, our calss had gone on a trip to GOA, and one of the nights.....some of us sat up late......and were playing different games.....cards etc.......And suddenly the others decided to play this one....."The Killer".......And that was when I was "introduced" to the game.....and I had no idea....how to really go about.......And yes.........as you said.....I was not too successful in "Aankh maaroing" (Hume toh practice bhi nahin... ) And screwed up damn badly....hehehe And was caught so early during my turn as killer......Infact.....none of the players understood I was winking at them......they only focussed on my sweet smile.... and in the 'desperate' process of winking at everybody out there....... (Oh yes.....you shuld have seen me.....I was on a winking-spree.......winking at a MAD pace at everybody in the room.... ) was easily 'caught'. And on the contrary, in my turns to 'spot the killer', could never figure out anybody winking.....they did it so well..... (Hmm....talk of the disadvantages of not practicing the important "ART" of "Aankh Maaroing" in college days.... )

(Hemant-da was of course both composer and singer, and there are several tandem tunes to his credit, with the male voice being his).

Thanks for the compliment too. In school I was part of the music grp but an obscure back-liner. Most of the others had learnt classical and sang really well, representing the school in solo events and so on. I am really a bathroom singer. Tho I stay alone mike ke saamne aate hi I cringe and go stiff. And the mic seems to catch one's worst points!!!!

Haan that was some clue na--Pradeep sang aaj jaane ki zidd na karo (which I never got to hear ). Pradeep usko yahan ul karo na. U sing so well.  Bahut khoob!!! Humko aur sunao please. Aur apni dost ki elusive recording bhi ul karo.

To sing an original? A rare honour. Never thought I ever would sing an original composition. But far tougher than singing a song from films, to learn a  new tune and so on. Sure I gave Unni nightmares.  Maybe that is how he lost all his hair.

Nahi Chitz, do not go by my forum personality. Biggest darpok on earth. Forget abt singing, my knees knock every time I go for a seminar or interview or anything.
