Rajni Sharma was the female lead (actor)? Music is R.D. Burman yes. Panchamonline supports your listing. Not being very familiar with Sushama Shreshtha's voice (I'd have to listen to this and another and compare and all that good stuff), Ill go along with your Mule. Ultraindia and Earthmusic are silent on this one. My original information would have been from somewhere on the www, hence it's likely that it's wrong.

Tell me, does your mule know who penned "dil jo na keh saka" conclusively? Various sources cite Sahir/ Majrooh resp. Here are some older discussions on this matter.

This movie marked actress Rajni Sharma's debut. R.D.Burman also sings in this song. I have a 5:11 version of this song, and his voice appears at 2:00.

Also, "Dil Jo Na Keh Saka" (both versions) is a Roshan - Majrooh creation.

I believe the voice is that of Rajni Sharma. I remember hearing this
song on Vividh Bharati and them announcing the female voice as hers.
