Raja Mehdi Ali Khan penned some meaningful & haunting songs, he was a class by himself. Madan Mohan's soulful music & his lyrics left an everlasting impression upon the listener. Even to this day, all their songs sound so fresh & captivating. A fantastic combination. My favourite duo.

Long before he teamed up with Madan Mohan and penned those beautiful lyrics referred earlier, he wrote, arguable, the most rousing patriotic song of all times, Watan Ki Raah Mein Watan Ke Naujawan Shaheed Ho.
