Asha ji has not sung any song in the film "CHHAI"-1950. Most of the songs are rendered by RAFI & SHAMSHAD except one song by Lata.

Mahesh, thanks for this lovely song. I like Raj Kumari's voice a lot but ahve heard very less of her Punjabi output except for Khursheed Anwar's Kurmai(1941). If you have more of her Punjabi songs then please do upload them.

the song je main dudh chauvan.... is no doubt from the film Laajo-1963. as per my inormation the song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. So pl confirm that it is by Suman or Lata?

heard it Ritu Daman (t vs p). Shailey may be a later addition, but in
any case the announcers never announced her name with Shailey.

in the hindi movie Tipoo Sultan as he was MD for that movie.

It appears the music of this song must have been composed by
Pandit SD Batish because the same tune has been used by him
in the hindi movie Tipoo Sultan as he was MD for that movie.
That song was sung by Asha with the words

Kabhi Hoon Kar Ke Kabhi Haan kar ke
Dil Loot liya re mehmaan ban ke

Dear Sir,
the song ..Naale Hoon Karke.... is a duet from the punjabi film "Chhai" sung by Rafi & Shamshad Begum. The music was scored by Hans Raj Behl and written by Verma Malik.
No doubt, the music of punjabi films "Muklawa" and "Hulare" was scored by SD Batish sahib.

may be it is reused in chaudhry karnail singh
I think singer is asha bhonsle not sure

I never knew Hemant sang Punjabi songs.
If I am not mistaken, Hemant never went to this high a pitch.

Thanks for the 78rpm version. But brother I donot know why the qwality differs.Seems like jhankar.

Please check this original film version .I think there is more sweetnes in voice.Why this difference???????
