THIS WAS GURU DUTT'S LAST MOVIE AS AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR with GYAN MUKHERJEE who he admired and learned a lot and Pyaasa starts with a tribute to him....In fact Kaagaz Ke Phool is supposed to be also reflecting Gyan Mukherjee's experiences!!!
