Again lots of thanks....I am very grateful to you!!....
At first, this song totally sounds like the lyrics are in Bengali..

Wah wah kaya baat hai. clap1.gif clap1.gif

The Bengali flavour in Geeta's voice makes the song
much more enjoyable. This quality also characterises
that of Juthika Roy's Meera Bhajans.

More about the song:

NON-FILM : Geet

LYRICS: Bharat Vyas

MUSIC: Nikhil Ghosh

SINGER: Geeta Roy (Dutt)

It was released on 78rpm coupling number N 880024
and on the flip side had the Geeta Dutt's:
'Jamuna ke teer Kaanhaa aao..'
once again the MD being Nikhil Ghosh.

Now who would upload the other gem camera.gif

Paragji & Maheshji thanks for sharing these rare non-filmi songs of Geeta Dutt.

Hi Ittefaq

Thanks for your kind words. All of the songs shared by Mahesh ji are their own original uploads. He is one of the most prolific contributors of HF, especially Geeta Dutt forum.

In my cases, most of the songs I share have already been shared on HF over a period of my stay here for last 2 years or so. I merely re-upload them for the benefit of who missed them/new members.

My only intention is that the music lovers should listen to this lesser known songs of Geeta ji. Thats our tribute to our beloved singer.

Best Regards
Parag

Paragji,
What truly wonderful sentiments. I know that obtaining these type of rare songs takes effort not to mention the love that goes into digitilizing them to mp3 format and then uploading them one by one. At the very least one can do is thank them for their contribution and generosity.

Hi Ittefaq

Please call me Parag. Thank you.
Yes, the effort of converting an old song from 78 RPM record/vinyl record into mp3 is huge and tedious. Its really due to the greatness and generosity of such original uploaders that members like me are able to hear such lovely songs.

This particular non-filmi song is special for me, since the song is so sweet and the melody flows so smoothly

Thanks again

Regards
Parag

Its a beautiful song and so is 'Jamuna ke Teer'. Actually gone the are vividbharti days and all these songs were a regular feature in the 'non film songs' programe of vivid bharti. Does any body remember 'bhala thaa kitna apna bachpan' by Hemant Kumar and some gazals by Dilraj Kaur (especially Kitni muddat baad mile ho).

I am so pleased to read the blogs here and it is so beautiful a feeling to see that people still remember those good old numbers.
