In the good old days there was this Bhojpuri movie with very madhur songs. Not surprising coz lyrics were by Shailendra-ji and music by Chitragupt-ji. Would really appreciate any songs from the same.

The reason for posting here is that most of the songs are by the Nightingale.

Humoon ko lagat hai ke hamaar praarthana mein tanik bhi dum naahin. Hamaar biraadri ke log bhi hamaar dukh naahi samajhtey. Ab hum to jaate apney gaon, apni ram ram ram.

Preety ji,

Zippo ji badly needs an emoticon with a stick and a potla. He keeps threatening to run away to/from home at the drop of a stick... errr... hat! rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Some very interesting topics here. Let's start:

1) Hamaar tooti phooti Bhojpuri sun ke aapney mujhe Laloo aur Rabri ka rishteydaar bana diya. HFM and Bhojpuri have a long history, and all the words I used came from them or the movies themselves.

2) I think HF should come up with a set of desi-specific emoticons, along the lines mentioned above, license them and use the revenues to increase server capacity. How about a thread for brainstorming these emoticons, should be fun.

3) I have no choice but to book tickets to Delhi to serve the common interests of HF. Since I am a newbie, I don't know who to send the expense report to at HF. Any guidance will be deeply appreciated.

1. dont know if i should just keep shut or tell you that technically im a bihari and i have nothing NOTHING to do with laloo and rabri abuse.gif why cant people think of daler mehendi, ashutosh rana, manoj bajpeyi, shotgun sinha, shekhar suman etc when talking about bihar sad1.gif two basically peculiar person should not be the representative of the whole community

2. we had a thread long back where the emoticons were discussed before that we had a very bad ( no offence to HF tongue.gif ) set of emoticons thanks to Pradeepji for some wonderful smilies...

3.do book the tickets to delhi then you can have the lp's converted tongue.gif tongue.gif

Preety Ji,

Mein toh un cartoonon ki sahayta se pheeka sa joke banaaey ki koshish kar raha thha. Lagta hai apna day job chhodhhney ka time nahin aaya hai. As to where I am from, let's just say that, geographically speaking, I am your closest neighbour.

BTW, the list you provided should start with Gautama Budhha and Mahavir Jain. Not to mention the cultural heritage of Paatliputra. That should silence even the die-hard ignoramus on Bihar.
