The words are very similar to a Noor Jehan - Mehdi Hassan song:

That one is 1971 though.


Would love to have the song--believe it is found in it's entirety only on the filmtrack. If anyone has it please do ul it for me.

Wow Unni that was quick!!!! My daily reading says nothing abt timings. I was told this song was available as an MK solo and Asha's part is only on the film track. Lemme check it out and see. The timing must be right as I heard the entire song the other day--MK sings 2 antaras I think and then Asha joins in for a few lines at the end. Ha ha I cannot wait till night--have to dl now and see. Thanks so much!!!!

Ha ha ha !!!! I missed the EEE--for a minute I wondered why U were snarling then it dawned on me. U have seen the light Unni!!!! I am pleased.

Sheer coincidence, but around the same time last evening I was exchanging PMs with another member on a similar thing. He'd read that a song was a duet, whereas the track he had was a solo. I checked my collection and discovered the solo listed as 'film version' and another track of the same song as a duet! Couldn't figure out why they stifled the female's voice in the movie. Or maybe I can!

Speaking about 'film versions', Sharad has done an excellent job with the sound quality of his uploads from DVDs. Whereas I've had mixed results. Yesterday I picked up a DVD having two films, "CHHOTI BAHEN" and "GHAR SANSAR". The little sister was a demure petite thing that obligingly sang all the songs. But when it came to the next movie, it just wouldn't budge out of the 'ghar' and go out into the 'sansar'!

Also, some DVDs work on the player but not on the disc-drive. Fat lot of help! As if I want to see the movie! Just interested in recording the songs. But one of these days I intend to watch "NAVRANG" and provide you the answer to the million-dollar question.

Thanks Unni. Chor Bazaar has an Asha song? The VN bk does not list the film. I remember seeing the vcd in Musicworld and as it was Sardar Mallik came home to check if there were any Asha songs but the film was not listed at all. Which is this song--sure it is Asha?
