QUOTE(priya @ Aug 29 2005, 11:46 PM) Did someone want this song??? And is this the song someone wanted??? I know music is by Salil Chowdhury. The singer oughta be Shyamal Mitra. If it isn't, there is nothing I can do about it!!! Priya thanks for this yes it is indeed Shyamal Mitra .. but i think he may be going a bit fast (!) like maybe at 50 rpm instead of 45 rpm ... so his voice sounds a bit thin wonder if unni can do some magic and slow him down somewhat - to sound like he should ! the small clip i uploaded earlier, seemed to be at the right speed and could be used as a reference point Sri "Jis din is duniya se nafrat aur khudgarzi mit jaayegi, us roz yeh insaan naachega, us roz yeh dharti gaayegi" - Rajinder Krishan (Maa baap 1959)

Just knew it! When someone uploads a track it means more work for me to rectify it!

That was why I had doubts about the voice.
Anyone who has Goldwave or Cooledit can slow down/quicken a track. Kuch logon ke nakhre!!!! More fool me to bother about Ur requests!!! |

If it isn't, there is nothing I can do about it!!! Dear Priya, Shyamal Mitra it is. The hindi version was sung by Rafi-saab in Poonam Ki raat: 'dil tadpe tadpaaye'. Shyamal-babu is a singer who is very close to my heart with a melancholy voice that was unrivalled in our country. Uploading a rare song of his from a late 50's movie called 'baari theke paaliye'. Hope you like it. It's based on a folk tune but as usual the music director leaves an indelible stamp of his genius on this song. I leave it to Hits-ji to name the music director & the hindi version of this song! Regards-Archie. |
