A very good observation. Didn't know this song was using Haathi Mere Saathi tune.
I am not too sure if it can be considered a parody, solely based on tune. Is there any imitation of lyrics?

Thanks for so many additions that you have been posting regularly.

Here is some clarification.
A parody song is one
(a) whose tune is copied from one or more earlier song(s) and
(b ) whose lyrics is an imitation of lyrics from one or more earlier song(s).

Therefore, to call a song as parody we need to know the following.

1. What is the original song of a parody?

2. Is it's tune a copy of the original?

3. Is it's lyrics an imitation of the original song lyrics?

In this thread, we have been following this simple definition for identifying a parody song.

If a song simply contains many movie names, it may not justify as a parody song. Similarly, if a song uses the same tune as an earlier song, but does not imitate the lyrics, it may not qualify as a parody either.

Nearly all parody songs listed in this thread were identified by other members and not by me.

I have updated the list as and when members (including yourself) post song details. I am unable to scrutinize each parody song listed here. I am not a native hindi speaker and have been living away for a long time. Some songs listed as parody could be in error. There are also a few song additions that I have not incorporated into the main list. I am hoping, gradually members will come forward and confirm them as parody.

This is not parody, the portion I thought was parody
end up being Geeta Dutt song "Aan Milo Sajna" from Devdas (1955).
so it is reuse of tune rather than a parody.
