(Manoj) Do Badan (1966) Here is a real beauty from the collaboration of Ravi and Shakeel Badayuni Saab. Rich lyrics. Beautiful compositions. Melodiously memorable singing. Every song was a huge hit and they still are very much endearing. This original soundtrack album has one of my favorite solos of Asha, "Jab Chali Thandi Hawa". Listening to this song over and over again you feel like you're being caressed by that cool breeze. Even with umpteen repeated listenings, this song sounds fresh as ever. Now for the details of the songs and the songs themselves ... Couple more from "Do badan". One is the title music and the other is a short verse by Rafi. Song: Title music Singers: Instrumental (the voice may be Ravi himself though that is just a guess on my part) Duration: 3:25 Bitrate: 128 kbps Song: Is jahaaN me (verse) Singer: Mohammad Rafi Duration: 0:40 Bitrate: 128 kbps Thanks SB for these additional songs. Cheers. -S |

(Raaj) Dooj Ka Chaand (1964)
Whenever Roshan Saab and Sahir Saab got together they produced winners. Their collaboration in nine plus movies produced several gems. Songs from this album are pretty good too. I am uploading these songs in two back-to-back posts. The first post conatins all the songs from the film. The second post has several extended version songs. Now for the details of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves. There is a song in this post where the Hemmady sisters, Suman and Shyama, sing together a song, "Jhaankti Hai Meri Aankhon Se" ... Attached image(s) |

Concluding Songs from "Dooj ka Chaand (1964)" ...
Here are some of the extended version songs from this album. Please be warned that the quality of Rafi Saab's both sols are a tad below average. With that caution, here are the songs ... This post has been edited by swarapriya: Jul 12 2010, 08:53 PM Attached image(s) |

Concluding Songs from "Dooj ka Chaand (1975)" ... Here are some of the extended version songs from this album. Please be warned that the quality of Rafi Saab's both sols are a tad below average. With that caution, here are the songs ... Hi SP, There is a typo in the title. It should be 1964 instead of 1975. Viraj |

(Rajendra) Hamrahi (1963)
This was another huge hit from the great L.V. Prasad who made massive contributions to Indian cinema. This movie was a remake of the Telugu hit "Bharya Bhartalu (1961)". I will upload songs from this film in this section immediately following these posts. Every song in this film was a huge hit and there are several beautiful ones in this album. One of my favorites of Lata, "Mann Re", is in this album. So is the beautiful duet by Mubarak Begum and Rafi Saab, "Mujh Ko". Rafi Saab has four solos. Two of my favorites of these are "Woh Chale" and "Ye Aansoo". I will upload these in three back-to-back posts. The first two posts contain all of the songs from an original soundtrack album. The third post contains several extended version songs. Now for details of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves ... (Sunil) Yaadein (1964)
This was a history making movie when it was released. It was the first ever movie with only a single actor. Sunil himself portrayed the hero besides producing and directing it. Nargis' silhouette apears near the end of the movie, otherwise it was a one-actor movie. Apart from Sunil and that brief appearance of the shadow there is no one else in the movie. The film as an experiment was a great success. It received rave reviews but audience found the movie too depressing, therefore rejected it outright. The innovative approach of the film did win a couple of technical Filmfare awards. I am not certain how many songs this film has. I have one that I am uploading here and the one missing song is shown in red italics in the table below. There probably are more. I am requesting members to share the missing song if they can. Thank you ... Now for the one song I have ... Attached image(s) |
