(Jeetendra) Vishwas (1969)

This album has nice songs by Mukesh, especially his solo and the two duets. I am uploading these and other songs from this original sound track album below ...

SP, please add Aparna Sen to the cast of "Vishwas". She is the one in the picture you have uploaded of the film (with Jeetendra).

Thanks SB. That was an oversight on my part. I made changes to reflect your suggestion. Thanks again.

Cheers,

(Sunil) Usne Kaha Tha (1960)

Here is another fine film that came from the Bimal Roy house. Bimalda produced the movie. It was directed by Moni Bhattacharjee. But like any movie by Bimalda it has all the ingredients that make his movies so special; good story, great unfolding of the story, superb characterizations, brilliant balck and white photography, and melodious music. This movie has all of this but somehow it doesn't give the feeling of satisfaction. In the end you remember it for its brilliant craftsmanship but the beats are missing from where its heart is.

Salilda composed several great songs for this movie. The songs like "Aaha Rim Jhim", "Balkhaati Sharmaati", "Machalti Arzoo" are beautiful to listen to. But for me the standout song is Maqdoom Mohiuddeen's memorable "Jaanewaale Sipaahi Se Poochho". A great inspired song that lingers in your thoughts for a long long time.

Now for these beautiful songs from this movie ...

The female voice in Bal Khati Sharmati is Lata Mangeshkar's.

Swarapriyaji

Sanjog film`s Telugu version was Collector Janaki. This film too had very very good songs. S P Balasubrahmanyam was an upcoming singer at that time and here he showcased his talent in two songs both comedy. Whenever he has sung to Actor Nagabhushanam those songs became a hit. Compromising quality for the sake of nostalgia......

Title : Paata Aaginda oka Seetu Govinda
Film : Collector Janaki

(Dharmendra) Aakash Deep (1965)

Here is some outstanding music from Chitraguptji. There are two of my favorite songs in this album. Rafi Saab's superb "Mujhe Dard-E-Dil Ka Pata Na Tha" and Lata's exquisite "Dil Ka Diya". Especially I love Lata's song. These are the types of songs why Lataji will be remembered as a legend for ages to come. Such sweetness in her voice. Such feeling in her singing. Like a beautiful fragrance it lingers and stays fresh in your senses even long after you experience it ...

I am also uploading slightly longer versions of these two songs. The words are the same in these but there is some extra music.

Here are the beautiful songs from this album, some thanks to the courtesy of the Forum members ...

Thanks, SP for sharing Aakashdeep!
Two songs are still missing:
1. Ghar Mein Na Chawal, Bazaar Mein Na Daal~Manna Dey
2. Gudiya Banke Naachoon~Asha Bhosle & Usha Mangeshkar

woman is the mirror in which man sees the reflection of his own self, his own dormant and hidden powers of genius when she comes and stands before him
A woman is a meaning to life ! Someone who loves, who cares !
