(Jeetendra) Paappi Devataa (1995)
It is a tribute to the music director duo Laxmikant & Pyarelal who burst into films with the musical block buster “Parasmani” in 1963 and who continue to give good music even to films that seem to have not much going for them. This album is an excellent example of this even though the movie is not as bad as several of Dharmendra’s 90’s movies. There are some good songs in this film. My favorite is the song by Shobha Joshi, “Door Desh Se”. Ms. Joshi (picture attached below) who sang this so beautifully is a noted singer mostly of devotional songs. She sang in a few films, some of the notable being “Hum (1991)”, “Anadi Khiladi (1986)”, “Love Love Love (1989)”, “Gentleman (1989)” and others.
