(Sunil) Ek Hi Raasta (1956)
B.R. Chopra established his independent production company called B.R. Films and launched this as his first movie under that banner. It may appear dated now, but the movie sensitively dealt with issues and problems a young widow faces in our society. The movie with some nice songs and excellent portrayals by the principals became a hit. It paved way for Chopra Saab to make series of movies dealing with social issues. I am re-uploading these songs in back-to-back posts on request. Here are the songs in the first post... Attached image(s) |

(Jeetendra) Farz (1967)
I am re-uploading these songs on request... Here is a movie that was made in Telugu and later in Hindi and made the stars of both films. The Telugu version, "Goodhachaari 116", was released earlier in 1967. It made the budding actor Krishna a star. The Hindi version was made by the same producers. Jeetendra, who had some nice assignments earlier, also was trying to establish himself in the film industry. This movie gave him a chance and its success made him a star. "Farz" was an unabashed lift of several early James Bond movies and the resulting concoction ended up as an entertaining version, even though nonsensical, unlike anything seen in an Indian film. It was helped by several hit songs. Now for the songs of this hit film with hit music from an original soundtrack album... Attached image(s) |

(Dharmendra) Anpadh (1962)
Here is one of the best scores of Madan Mohan Saab. Out of seven songs, Lata sang five of them, all solos. All of these songs are marvelous but at least three of them have gained strength through times for their sheer beauty of compositions and renditions. These are "Aap Ki Nazron Ne", "Hai Isee Mein Pyaar Ki Aabroo", and "Jiya Le Gayo". I am uploading these and other songs from this album in the first post. In the second post I am uploading several specials. I am re-uploading these songs on request. Here are the songs in the first post from an original soundtrack album... Attached image(s) |

Concluding Songs from "Anpadh (1962)"...
I am uploading several specials in this post. I am uploading a version of "Aap Ki Nazron Se" with Mala Sinha's introduction. She fondly recalls friendship between her father and Madanji. This is from the album "Legends: Madan Mohan - The Instinctive Genius (CD 2)". I am also uploading Anuradha Paudwal's version of the same song from her 2-CD album "A Tribute to Madan Mohan". From the same album, I am uploading another song by Anuradha Paudwal, a version of "Hai Isee Mein Pyaar Ki Aabroo". Finally, I am uploading an abbreviated version of the same song sung by the venerable Mohan Saab. This is taken from the album "Legends: Madan Mohan - The Instinctive Genius (CD 2)". Here are these songs ... Attached image(s) |
