(Sunil) Railway Platform (1955)
Sunil Dutt was a successful radio announcer for Radio Ceylon Hindi programs before becoming an actor. This was Sunil's first movie. It is remembered today not only as his first movie but also for the magnificent music composed by Madan Mohanji to rich lyrics written by Sahir Saab. Every song from this film was a major hit. I am re-uploading these songs, all thanks tot the courtesy of the Forum members, in two back-to-back posts on request. Here are the songs in the first post... (Dharmendra) Shola Aur Shabnam (1961)
Here is a beautiful album from Khayyam Saab. It has a couple of unforgettably lovely songs penned by Azmi Saab, "Jaane Kya" and "Pyaar ka Bandhan". While both are outstanding, I like especially Rafi Saab's solo. It is endearingly engaging. There is such magic in the divine voice of Rafi Saab that these songs will totally engross you touching deeply your heart. I am re-uploading these songs on request in back-to-back two posts. All songs are courtesy of the Forum members. Thank you. Here are the songs in the first post... Attached image(s) |

(Jeetendra) Boond Jo Ban Gayee Moti (1977)
Jeetendra, who was introduced by the great Shantaram in “Geet Gaaya Pattharon Ne (1964)”, is back with him in this film. His leading lady Mumtaz finally appears as a heroine in a Shantaram movie. She was in supporting roles in a couple of earlier Shantaram movies. These were “Stree (1961)” and “Sehra (1963)”. This movie is distinguished by its beautiful music by one of the less heard of music directors, Satish Bhatia. Among several good songs, there is one that stands out. It is the classic solo by Mukeshji, "Hari Hari Vasundhara". The song reminds one of another classic by Mukeshji, “Suhana Safar” from Bimalda's poem of love, "Madhumati (1958)". I am uploading all songs of this melodious album from an original soundtrack album below... Attached image(s) |
