I am not certain whether these are all of the songs from this album or not. If not so, requesting members to share the missing ones if any. Thank you. Our fellow member and my good friend Parag (Sanka) tells me that the Hindi version "Milan" was based on the Bengali film "Naukadubi". Abhi Bhattacharya played the role in the Bengali version that Dilip played in Hindi. There is another song Geetaji sang in this movie and it is a short one but its full version can be seen and heard at the following path ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z66Ls9NpoHU Parag adds that Geetaji also sang these songs in the Bengali version of the movie. One of them was composed by Rabindranath Tagore himself even though not sure of which one. Tushar Bhatia, the gentleman who helped bring many of Geetaji's songs into limelight, tells that there is a 78 RPM recording of this song exists and that was confirmed by the composer Anilda himself. A nice post detailing who Tushar Bhatia is and tremendous favors he has done for Geetaji's fans all over the world can be found in the directory Hamara Forums > Legends > Geeta Dutt at the following path ... http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...9&hl=tushar Thank you very much Parag for all the information and getting things straight on the origins of this movie ... Cheers, Swarapriya |

My Dear Brother Deb, I don't have songs from "Sati Vijay". I did request in an earlier posting for the songs of this album. I will upload songs of "Ziddi" under Dev's because Kishoreda was not in the movie, but Dev was. Finally, I do have all the songs of "Kaneez" but my records show that Kishoreda was not in that movie. Cheers, Swarapriya |

(Dev) Ziddi (1948)
Aditya, our fellow member, points out that Kishoreda indeed made a cameo appearance in this Dev's movie, but probably uncredited. I am not doubting that but there is no doubt that Kishoreda made his solo singing debut in this movie. Kehmchand Prakash, the music director of this movie, gets the credit for giving Kishore a chance to sing the solo "Marne Ke Duaaen Kyon Maangoon". This was filmed on Dev Anand. Before this song, in the movie "Eight Days", released in 1946, Kishoreda participated as one of the chorus singers for the song “Baanka Sipahiya Ghar Jaaye Ho”. The Dev-Kishore connection which started in this movie endured many many years to come and produced some of the most memorable melodious songs Hindi moviedom has ever known. Kishore also sang another solo and a duet with Lata in this film. All songs I am uploading here are by the courtesy of the Forum members. Thank you. Here are the songs ... Swarapriya Ziddi is one of the most beautiful albums of the 40s. The lovely solo Ab Kaun Sahara was actually sung by Lata, not Kishore. Kind Regards Faraaj Kind Regards Faraaj Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. - Victor Hugo There is only one better thing than music - live music. - Jacek Bukowski I hate music, especially when it's played. - Jimmy Durante No good opera plot can be sensible, for people do not sing when they are feeling sensible. - W. Dear SP,
According to my tags and Earhmusic, the lyricist for Marane Ki Duayen was Professor Jazbi. Swarapriya Sis Kishoreda was very much there in the Ziddi.I have the film Ziddi and there Kishoreda did a small role as a gardener where the dialogue of him was to throw some abusive language but he was so involved in the shooting that he actually threw some more abusive language which was not there in the script,so there was a retake of that shot. And Kishoreda also did a small role in Kaneez,I have the film Kaneez also. And in the book KISHORE KUMAR THE MANY FACES OF A GENIUS it is clearly written that Kishoreda had acted in both these 2 films and I also have the privilege to have both these films. So please uplaod the songs from film Kaneez.
