(Rekha) Jhutha Sach (1984)

This is a real fine album from RD. A couple of solos by Asha, "Jahaan Bin Hawa" and "Kya Karoon Main", are simply melodious. Here are these and other songs from this album...

(Rekha) Maati Maangey Khoon (1984)

One of the distinguishing features of this Raj Khosla directed film is the ghazal sung by Ghulam Ali Saab. This is one of his famous ghazals. I haven't seen the film so not sure how it was used. Unfortunately, the quality of this song is not as crisp as others.

Here is this ghazal and other fine songs from this RD composed drama...

(Hema) Sitapur ki Geeta (1987)

The producers and director of this film assembled so many talented people only to come up with an utterly forgettable trash of a film. Even usually reliable music from Sonik-Omi is also not up to par. I am uploading these songs in two back-to-back posts.

Here is the first set of songs...

(Saira) April Fool (1964)

Shankar & Jaikishan made sure that this day, April 1, celebrated as an All Fool's Day around the world, will be remembered by the Indian music lovers forever by composing some of their beautiful and memorable music for this film. Subodh Mukherjee, who introduced Saira in "Junglee" in 1960, is back here with another winner with her in this film, "April Fool".

I am uploading songs from this film in two back-to-back posts. The first post contains all songs from an original soundtrack album. The second post contains several extended versions and some music clips.

Here are the songs in the firs post...

Concluding Songs from "April Fool (1964)"...

I am uploading in this post several extended version songs and music clips from the film. These are taken from a DVD.

The verbiage in the song is the same in longer versions as well except each of them has extra music preceding them. Please note the music clip "Pool Aquatics Show" is included in the extended version of the song "Aa Gale Lag Jaa". If you are downloading that particular song, you don't need to download the music clip.

Here are the songs and the music clips...

(Hema) Mohabbat Ke Dushman (1988)

Songs from this film, all from an original soundtrack album, were recently uploaded in the "Saat Saath" thread in the "Sangeet ke Sitarey" directory. These melodiously beautiful songs, with every song a hit, are available starting at the following location...

(Rekha) Utsav (1984)

This period drama was produced by Shashi Kapoor on a grand scale. In spite of good music and a sensuous performance by Rekha the movie was a flop. Shashi suffered a great deal financially after this setback.

There are only four songs in the film but all of them are very good. LP sparkles here with songs like "Mann Kyon Behka", my favorite song of the album, followed by "Neelam Ke Nabh" and Suresh Wadkar's "Saanjhe Dhale". Anuradha Paudwal won the Best Female Playback Singer Award from Filmfare for the song "Mere Mann". To me this was the only song from the film that was least appealing. It was a group song and somehow Anuradha was singled out for the award. I never can understand how these things work.

Here are the songs from this album from an original soundtrack album...
