(Nutan) Main Tere Liye (1988)

Here are some of the points worth noting about this movie. Its hero, Suneil, is the son of the evergreen actor Dev Anand. After making his debut in his father's "Anand & Anand" in 1984, he made a total of only four movies. This is one of them. It was directed by his uncle, Vijay Anand.

The second point is that, Vijay Anand, who is generally known for producing, directing and acting in the movies, also wrote the lyrics for this film. He wrote stories and screenplays for movies before. Earlier he also wrote lyrics for all the songs for the film "Ghungroo Ki Awaaz" released in 1981.

Another point worth mentioning is about its music. Bappi Lahiri became famous by composing Rock N Roll type of songs. But he has a real surprise here. Not but one two songs in this album he composed are in classical style. Both these songs, sung by Anup Ghoshal, are beautiful to listen to. Way to go Bappida.

Here are the songs from this album with a new music director to me and a couple of rarely heard of singers, Bela Sulakhe and Jatin (later of the music director team Jatin-Lalit). Please note that sometimes several of these songs are packaged together and presented as one song. However, because of their distinctiveness, I have decided to separate them as individual songs because that made more sense to me.
