(Mala) Bahu Beti (1965)

This is a beautiful album from Ravi. It has several lovely tracks. My favorites are Rafi Saab's solo, "Sab Mein" and the Asha-Mahendra duet "Rangeen Fiza Hai". I am uploading these and other songs in two back-to-back posts. The first post has all the songs from the album. The second post has some of the extended versions.

Here are the songs from the first post...

(Nutan) Grahan (1972)

I don't have a single song from this album. I believe its music was by Vasant Desai. If anyone of you can share songs from this album, please do so. Thank you very much.

(Hema) Jaaneman (1976)

With his chips down because of series of flops he produced, Dev was looking for a vehicle that could turn around his career. He didn't need to go too far. He found it in his own hit and trend setting movie "Taxi Driver" made in 1954. He hired elder brother Chetan, who also was the director of "Taxi Driver", to direct "Jaaneman". When he approached Hema to be his leading lady, she agreed. It was reported in the press that out of respect for her costar Dev who fell on lean times, Hema either didn't take any money for her role or she took only nominal amount. All said and done, in the end when the movie was released, it enjoyed only a limited success.

Here are the songs from this film...
