(Nutan) Latt Saheb (1967)
Here is yet another beautiful album from the energetic Shankar & Jaikishan. Almost every song is a beauty with standout songs like both duets by Asha and Rafi Saab and the solos by Rafi Saab like "Jaane Mera Dil" and "Savere Waali Gaadi" taking the top honors. I am uploading all the songs from an original soundtrack album in the first post. The second post contains a couple of extended version songs. Now for the details of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves ... Attached image(s) |

(Saira) Bairaag (1976)
Trying to capture the old magic, Dilip Saab tried in this movie playing a triple role. In the end however, the result was predictably the same. The movie was only an average success, that too optimistically speaking, and was easily forgotten. However, it has a couple of good songs. My favorite one is the duet by Asha and Rafi Saab, "Saare Shehar Mein". Here is this and other songs from an original soundtrack album of this film ... Attached image(s) |

(Zeenat) Insaf Ka Tarazau (1980)
This hit film introduced both Deepak Parsher and Raj Babbar. The B.R. Chopra directed movie was almost an identical copy of the American film "Lipstick (1976)". The sisters in that movie were played by the real life sisters Magaux (Zeenat played this role in Hindi) and Mariel (Padmini Kolhapure) Hemingway. They both are paternal granddaughtes of the famous American writer and Nobel Laurate Ernst Hemingway. Raj Babbar reprised the role played by Chris Sarandon in English. The Hindi film had several fine performances by the principals involved. Kolhapure was awarded the Best Supporting Actress Filmfare Award for her performance. Zeenat was nominated but lost to Rekha for her performance in Hrishida's "Khubsoorat". The movie also got the Filmfare Best Dialogue Award for Shabd Kumar and Best Editing Award for S.B. Mane. The film was remade in Telugu in 1982 by the famous artist and director Bapu who also directed several good movies in Hindi, for example,"Woh 7 Din (1983)". I will upload songs from the Telugu film, "Edi Dharmam? Edi Nyaayam?" in this section immediately following the Hindi song uploads. The movie has only four songs, but all are very beautiful. They are more so because of the rich lyrics written by Sahir Saab. Now for a description of the songs in Hindi and the songs themselves ... Attached image(s) |
