Aame Evaru? (1966) - A Telugu Film

I am re-uploading songs from this Telugu film upon request. Tis movie was based upon the Hindi hit "Woh Kaun Thi?". There are five songs in the Telugu version and four of them are copies of Madan Mohan Saab's magnificent tunes. Susheela does a beautiful job in singing three of these songs.

Here is another fine album from the combination of Ravi and Sahir Saab. There are some great songs by both Asha and rafi Saab. I am uploading these songs in three back-to-back posts. Are the songs the same as those in the tamil version of this movie?
Yaar Nee had the Jayalalitha in the lead role too!

Yes, they are the same songs. The songs in Tamil were:
1. L R Eswari, TMS - Paarvai onDre podhume <=> Shokh nazar ki bijliyaaN
2. P Susheela - MuLLil roja paaDudhe raaja <=> ChhoDkar tere pyaar ka daaman
3. P Susheela - En vedhanaiyil <=> Jo hum ne daastaan sunaayi
4. P Susheela - Naane varuven (2 version) <=> Naina barse rimjhim rimjhim
5. P Susheela - Ponmeni thazhuvaamal <=> Lag ja gale se

The only difference between the Tamil and Telugu versions is that P B Srinivas replaces TMS
in the Telugu version of "Shokh nazar ki bijliyaaN". And it is a welcome change. TMS is at
his most nasal in the Tamil version.

(Hema) Dharmatma (1975)

This film was Feroz Khan's ode to the English Mafia classic "Godfather". Most of the movie was just a direct lift from the English version. There are only a few songs in this movie but they are very good. I am uploading these songs and some music from an original soundtrack album in two back-to-back posts. The first post contains all the songs. The second post contains several music pieces.

(Mala) Dil Tera Diwana (1962)

Here was a rollicking comedy made by B.R. Pantulu from South. It was based on a Tamil hit that was also dubbed into Telugu and became a hit. I don't remember the name of these movies but this film is an out and out entertainer with Shammi and Mahmood getting almost equal screen time. On the top of it there are some exceptionally beautiful songs by Shankar & Jaikishan. Every song became hugely popular. My favorites from this original soundtrack album are the duet by Lata and Rafi Saab, "Mujhe Kitna", and that beautiful solo by Rafi Saab, "Nazar Bachaakar".

(Mumtaz) Tarzan Comes to Delhi (1965)

This was the 15th movie of Mumtaz released in 1965. In most of these her costar was Dara Singh. Invariably one of the higlights of these low budget movies, the other being Mumu's charm and Dara's muscles, was some good music. Unfortunately, I have only one song from this movie that I am uploading here. The missing songs are shown in red italics in the table below. I am requesting members to please come forward to share these missing ones if they can. Thank you.
