has grown a lot and its difficult to get the precise information, I am opening this thread.

The book:

Twice the winner of national award for documentary making, Haimanti Banerjee has now come up with first ever book written on Geeta Dutt that establishes the inimitable singer as her own person. The book is titled as "Geeta Dutt : The Skylark".

The look and feel of the book:

Excellent quality paper and good quality of printing. Bold font has been used which makes it easy for reading through.

Where can one get the book :

The book can be purchased directly from the author. She is based in Pune, India and can be contacted at 020-25899368 or her mobile number 9766082231.

The price :

The book is priced at Rs. 495

What does it contain :

A detailed life story on young playback singer Geeta Roy who married Guru Dutt to become Geeta Dutt. Over 200 pages with more than 100 never before seen pics of the singer and many aspects of her life.

The author of the book has kind enough to give a detailed interview for us. The interview is more than 2 hours long and covers the journey of the book from its inception to its release. A lot of nuggets of information have been shared with us by the author in this interview.

An audio-visual version of this interview will soon be posted on www.geetadutt.com and also on Youtube. The idea is to let more and more people know about the book and about Geeta ji in general.

I got the book today and this book is marvellous and wonderful. I havent seen such type of books till now. But I want to thank the author "Haimanti Banerjee" for rare type of book with grt8 articles, photos and many things in this book. And I have a grt8 pleasure to contact her many times with an author. I will try to send some things about sometime.
