Thanks for the superb upload. Unfortunately, the Kis Tarah Bhulega audio is not what I'd hoped for and it really is one of Noorjehan's 2-3 best songs. Let's hope someone can upload a better audio of that.

By the way, I'm told there was a classical version of Ja Nahin Sakta Kabhi Sheeshe Mein Baal sung by Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.....it would be interesting to get that in this thread as well....

If I understand correctly from your email, although you don't possess it, you are aware that Bade Ghulam Ali Khan sang Ja Nahin Sakta Kabhi Sheeshe Mein....I had never heard of such a recording until recently....

Oh well! If a recording does exist, its bound to turn up on HF sooner or later!

Glad you like it. This is really a better quality version I found. I have heard about such a song being recorded by him but don't know whether a recording does exist of it. There are so many songs we know have been sung by the artiste but their records don't reach the normal public. For example I have been looking for recording of Geeta ji and G.M. Durrani sahab's Vande Matram but its yet to be seen. Wish someone would upload such songs.

It had more than one lyricists and MDs. Request some one to provide those details as well as singers of some of the songs.

The movie was a big hit because of the songs.
The song Aahen Na Bhari is a special one to mention here since it was the first all-female qawwali in a hindi film. The second one of course you would have noticed in village girl uploaded earlier.

Jugnu is a 1947 Indian film directed by Shaukat Hussain Rizviand co-directed by Skandor Akbar. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Noor Jehan, Shashikala and also includes a cameo appearance by famous playback singer Mohammed Rafi. This film was the first major hit for Dilip Kumar who went onto become one of Bollywood's biggest stars. This movie also had the first major hit of mohammed rafi in the form of Yahan badla wafa ka, a duet with Noorjehan.
The MD is Feroz Nizami sahab and lyrics by Azgar Sarhadi for all except one. The Desh ki purkaif song has lyrics by M.G. Adib
