Haneef Interesting........ was this song then sang again for Santo Banto 1976 MD S Mohinder? - cause that song I've known since I was a child by heart. Or are we talking about another song? (Aaja Sohniye, Aaja Heeriye, Tainu Pyar Bulave, O Tera Yaar Bulave, Mukh Dikhla Ja Hai, O Chori Chori Aaja, Hai........). And I'm positive many on this forum have the Santo Banto one....... so let us know. Doston, Apna Tau Yeh Imaan Hai Jo Bhi Jitna Saath De, Ehsaan Hai Umr Ka Rishta Jodne Waale Apni Nazar Mein Deewane Hai Thanks for the memories HF. Bye Bye. deewani is "permanently away" |

The first song was probably with similar words too... Soniye Nee Heereye Nee.... OK, thanks for the info Haneef, I had never heard of that one before. Source: Mohd. Rafi, The Great Immortal Singer Rafi's efforts to sing for films gave fruitful results when he sang his first ever film song on 28th Feb, 1941 when he was just 16 years and 2 months! This days is a memorable day in his life as he made his debut as a playback singer with a song in a punjabi film by name 'gul baloch'. This film had music by Shyamsundar. The first lines of the song were " soniye nee heeriye nee teri yaad ne sataaya" this was a duet sung by Rafi with Zeenat Begum. |
