Thanks Alot Anupama ji for the video, had been looking it for a while.....one of my fav. songs of the late 70's. This IMO is one of RR's best-ever compositions.

Rafi saab changes the whole song with his entry.

Kishoreda's voice does not suit Rishi kapoor in this song. RR should have used Rafi saab for both Shashi and rishi as the voice is a perfect match for both actors. By the way this my personal oppinion and should not be used as a fact as i think Kishoreda was also an excellent singer. it's just that kk voice is quite heavy for rishi..

Anupama ji, i also like the fact that you don't end the video songs abruptly but also include some of the movie dialogue that comes immediately after the song has just reached its close - that makes viewing the songs an additional pleasure, you just can't wait to grab that movie DVD and watch it all over again.

Do you do that on purpose or is it just by accident ? unsure.gif
The way you trimmed the Sadhna qawwali ' Aaj Kyon Hum Se Parda Hai' retaining that memorable and poignant dialogue between Vyjayanthimala and her 'admirer's' is particularly remarkable.

Looking forward to the other treats too ! smile.gif

Sajdahji, I am not yet good enough at ripping the song from the DVD or VCD. I would make many mistakes. closedeyes.gif To tell you the truth, I wanted to trim those dialogues and extra scenes but whenever I tried to do that I ended up losing some part of the song. But if it's adding an additional flavor to the song then why not? tongue1.gif Who doesn't want to know the background of these immortal songs? I do! I do! smile.gif I understand or appreciate the song much more if I know the story behind it. biggrin.gif

Hi
I was checking new 'Attachments' when I came across your video posting of Jagte Raho's Punjabi song. I saw the movie in a theater in India about 40 or more years ago which had this song in it.I do have the audio version of this song and also I have seen the movie video a few times but this song was missing from the videotaped version. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see it and to save it for later viewing.Harjinder
