Here is a song I love. Mere angana aaye re...music by RDB, film Naram Garam, 1981, lyrics Gulzar. The song file says 23 mins due to some error but that does not create any problem.

Wow , what a reminder for a lovely song....I love this too a lot and all this kinda songs.... Ta Thai Tat Thai.... the foot just start's tapping even before the song starts....
Worth mentioning another classical solo by asha "Chham Chham Ghungroo Bole".... movie = phagun, "Nadi Nare Na Jao Shyam" movie = Mujhe Jeene Do....."Paan Khaye Saiyan Hamaro" movie = Teesri Kasam...... and the list goes on...... smile.gif

Did I hear Shailendra Singh ? Hey do you like his songs ? I knew him well but always hesitated to ask him wether he had any fan club ? Gosh, last time I met him / saw him was almost 12 years back....

Among all his different numbers , I love this a lot "Shayad Tu Mujhse Pyar Karti Hai" Movie HAWALAAT ... and not to forget his Parde Mei Koi Rehta Hai Parda Karke... Allah mei sadke jau aisi nazar se.. with great RAFI sahab smile.gif

I always liked Shailendra Singh's song - he had very different voice. I wish he was more sucessful singer. Though he displayed zero talent in acting in Do Jasoos. Agreement with Rekha was not bad. Agreement had a wonderful solo by Shailendra Singh - don't remember the words now. If you have that please upload it.

I keep seeing Shailendra Singh as his Child(ren) is the same class as my son in Manekji Cooper (No Prize for guessing the age of an old man).

Other day we had a meeting in the school and I was in two mind to say hallo.

Never-the-less let me add one of my favourite song of Shaliendra Singh from the Film Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se along with Hemlata.

Guys please pardon me for initiating a discussion in the wrong forum. Though my requests are still pending....Regards

Yes I do have the song--I love it too. The mere angana song was in my hard disc so was easy to ul--the other one I have to hunt for among my discs--will ul today or tomorrow.

Well, I couldn't resist replying to a discussion on Shailendra Singh.

I am Looking for few songs myself.

1. Purviya Leke chali meri naaiya jaane kaha re --- Do Jasoos
2. Hari Hari mehndi ki patiya, Laal hatheli hain, Bol re sajni bol, yeh kya paheli hai -- ????
3. Sona hanse Kaise khil khil, Roopa ....., Bhisti Pade tapur tipir -2,
