Thanks a million, on behalf of Akhtar and myself! Now he can start classes in a happy frame of mind, and I can continue with rare songs. Thanks again. If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

QUOTE(Talaikya @ Sep 1 2004, 12:00 PM) Well Akhtar ji let's hope we get all your duets uploaded by the time it's back to school time for you. 1. I love this one Song :Awaz deke hamein tum bulao - Rafi saab and Lata ji Film: Professor (1962) - an eternal favorite of mine. It's hilarious - for those that haven't seen it yet. Shammi Kapoor at his maddest best. Music: Shankar Jaikishen Lyrics: Hasrat Jaipuri T I love this one too. Just something about it that is undescribable. Fabulous song!! I think it is based on a raaga. Dunno which. |

If you don't already have it on your computer, please download the free software. Then left-click on the file-name of the upload to download to your hard-drive where you can unzip by right-clicking and choosing "Extract Here" to open it as an mp3. Thank you very much for your prompt reply unniji, but I do have
winrar and I have downloaded songs from the your other very interesting 'Kaccha Dhagas'. But on this thread I got 'file missing' error messages when I tried to download. Like this link for 'Tere Bharose Nandlala' http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?act=...e=post&id=18349 What I wanted to know was are these files really missing or is there some other problem? I have not had an earlier opportunity of listening to Rafi Sahab's Bhajans and have only had the pleasure of listening to his romantic songs. I have heard a lot about them and wanted to experience this facet of his singing. |

When I clicked on the URL you posted for me, I got an error message. But when I went to the MAS "KACHHA DHAAGA" thread and scrolled to the screen where the song is uploaded, I was able to download it with a left-click and open it with a right click and listen to it in MusicMatch. QUOTE When I clicked on the URL you posted for me, I got an error message I got the url by right clicking on the attachment and then going to properties. I got the same url in the address bar on left-clicking the attachment. A right click and 'save as' saved the error page at the same url. QUOTE But when I went to the MAS "KACHHA DHAAGA" thread and scrolled to the screen where the song is uploaded, I was able to download it with a left-click and open it with a right click and listen to it in MusicMatch. Now, I am somewhat of a computer lamer and the procedure you described did not work for me. Can you verify the url I gave you ? (I mean is it the same one you get when you go to right click and properties) I would be very grateful. Also, could it be problem of internet explorer? I have a downloaded copy of mozilla which I never came to try out. I will try to install that and see. Btw, what's music match? Is it a player like winamp? |

Three cheers for Mozilla !!!!!
and three cheers more for unniji !!!! Hip Hip Hurray! I installed Mozilla and was able to download the bhajans. I have downloaded one and am listening to it now. Heavenly voice and a heavenly song. I did not know what I was missing. Thanks a lot Unniji for uploading such beautiful compositions and also for telling me that the files were very much there. Added after editing: And finally I have come to know of the problem. And I feel really foolish now. The url I had given was of the attachment. I had visited the this thread some days ago before the forum was revamped. Now I think the urls for the attachments have changed after the revamping. And a simple refresh solved the problem for me. So the three cheers for Mozilla go away but those for unniji remain. This post has been edited by Ankur: Sep 5 2004, 12:24 AM |
